Do the Puyallup.

One of the many things I have missed about Washington is the Puyallup Fair. Excuse me, the "Washington State Fair." I don't know what it is about a fair, but I love them.
The animals.
The shopping.
The rides.
The games.
The people watching.
The children on leashes.
The sales people trying to massage your hand.
Or make you taste test (like they have to try that hard to "make us").
Or straighten your hair (hello, I'm not 12. If my hair isn't straightened, that's not my hair plan for the day).
And most of all, the greasy, nasty, artery clogging, fair food.
Yesterday Matt & I "Did the Puyallup."

I limited myself to one fair scone (because, come on.), tacos from the healthiest vender I could find (yikes), one bite of Matt's Elephant Ear (seriously, don't tell me you're not impressed that I could limit it to one bite), and we split one Cow Chip cookie (which was not as good as I expected), & definitely NOT any Deep Fried Butter (THAT IS A THING?!). Definitely could have done better, but we enjoyed the moment & I wasn't freaking out about food. Balance is my idea of a happy life.

We also played a couple of games.

(He got 149---> grand prize is 150+)

After paying for the games we realized why our parents never wanted us playing as kids--->$5 for a stupid game that lasts for 30 seconds & IF you win, you get a prize you'll never use!?

& that's how we knew we have grown into adults ;]

Matt: "Hey Austin, take a picture of me on this tractor so I can caption it with 'She thinks my tractor's sexy' okay?" <----yep, that guy is my husband.
I recently have realized that we are in such a unique place in our lives that we get to literally have date night every night. We hear of couples who don't get to go on dates for months at a time, and here we are getting to spend alone time together every day. I think that realization is making us embrace it more and appreciating this awkward, age 22 and married, living paycheck-to-paycheck, moment of our lives. I love dating my husband.
I'd love to hear what YOU think of the fair, or marriage, or food. :]
Until next time,
